On a long road trip, a friend and I were debating which 40k armies were most like the cars we saw. Here is what we determined:

All Space Marines: Ford f150

You can buy these endlessly configurable trucks to go fast, commute, haul, rescue, whatever you want. Are there other vehicles that do it better? Probably.

Chaos Space Marines: Dodge Ram chassis 1500. Less reliable than the f150 and a lot more likely to be stolen, but the Ram is also known to be less utilitarian and more lifestyle.

Custodes: Mercedes G36 6x6

Cool? Yeah. Outlandish? Yeah. Unnecessary and luxurious? Yeah! Like Custodes, you will feel like an asshat every time you damage it.

Eldar: Lamborghini Aventador

Slick, stylish and fast; the Eldar player craves speed but also creature comforts and safety features, though they're mostly for show.

Dark Eldar: MTT Y2k Superbike

For those who want speed with all the safety and assist turned off. Like the army, this bike wants more than anything to kill its owner in spectacular fashion.

Stay tuned for part 2.

Corvette Stingray = Eldar (fast/sleek/classic)

Humvee = Space Marines (average speed/durable/powerful/highly modifiable)

Racing motorcycles = Dark Eldar (fast/nimble/dangerous to ride)

Tesla = Tau (highly advanced/can be fast like Eldar or tough like marines)

The Junker = Orks (any rust bucket on the road that looks like it should be In the scrap yard)

Ford Mustang = Khorne Berserkers (my brain keeps telling me this is right, I'm not sure why)

Dodge Charger = Blood Angels (like the Berserkers my brain just says this is correct with no justification)

Black Ford Crown Victoria = Inquisition

Every other vehicle on the road = Imperial Guard

Mapping Warhammer 40k factions to cars is such a fun idea, and honestly it fits surprisingly well once you think about each faction’s personality and battlefield role. Space Marines as reliable performance machines and Orks as chaotic, overbuilt monsters make perfect sense. If you’re into cars like this, checking out AutobidMaster  repo cars delaware is worth it, especially their USA locations page where you can browse real vehicles that match these vibes. Really adds a cool real-world twist to the concept overall experience.

Grey Knights seems pretty clear to me:

Ecto1 Ghostbusters car for hire

No idea what I'd put for Admech. It's got to be an old car with more tech stuck to it than there has any right to be. The Delorean from Back from the Future? :p

I gather the assignment was for models of cars rather than unique, specific cars, but I couldn't resist.

Alternatively, Axel Foley's beat up old Chevy Nova with a retrofitted sound system added. Or, if in the UK, a blacked out 80s Ford Capri with the go-fasta stripes.
