Welcome to the maniple Princep!

Roll back a couple of years…. Adeptus Titanicus was released. The Warlord original mini didn’t grab me. The price range didn’t appeal. I was neck deep in other projects. The list goes on.

Then something clicked….some of the options looked cooler…I watched some reviews…I also twigged that actually I could look at it as a skirmish type game?…

Now…I’m ready to commit! After a brief trip to a great local Indie store I’m onboard. After exploring the lore I wanted to collect a Legio distinct and apart from the rest of the Traitor forces. A Legio that had no ties with anyone save the Warmaster.

I chanced across Damicium. A dying out Legio at the brink of extinction, brought back by “help” from Mars but at the cost of solely relying on them. Their forges left to cool & die out for Mars wanted them to be the only supplier.

Lupercal gave them hope and before the opening salvos had been fired Damicium was already enacting Horus’ will.

With no Knight households paying fealty they are alone. Their stubborn refusal to stay down or be put in their place by distant Mars & Terra appealed so much!

Currently sat waiting my hobby time is now:

- Warmaster Iconoclast

- Warlord with power claw & plasma annihilator

- Warbringer Nemesis

- Reaver with melta & fist

- Warhounds

With a trip to WHW in a couple of weeks I’ll be getting the core game also.

But for now the journey to Terra begins! The Warmaster has begun his war and we march with him!

I’ll be keeping an eye on this.

As an aside, have you confirmed Warhammer World have copies of the starter set in stock? It’s been out of stock across the UK for months, if I’m not mistaken.

Cheers!

Nah GW WHW won’t tell me anything that website won’t. If they have a copy on the day then all good if not I can wait…let’s face it I’ve plenty to be working with already!

Welcome to GW's best game, by far.

Currently, stock of the core set is very low. They just can't make them fast enough. I don't personally see much reason to buy it from GW direct when you can get 20% off or better elsewhere, but that's your choice. If you do buy it elsewhere, check they really do have one in stock and aren't talking about getting it on back order, because there's no telling how long that will take.

I happened to be in the Exeter GW and they had a core set if that's useful, so they do exist here and there.

In the meantime I very strongly recommend magnetising your titans. A big part of this game is having only a few models but all of them being adaptable.

I look forward to seeing what you get up to.

Welcome, Princeps!

AT is a great game, and in no small part due to the community that surrounds it.

Of course, the models and hobby aspect are fun as well!

Cheers guys!

I’m slowly realising that the AT community is smaller but more engaging for sure! I’ve ordered a bunch of bits from Battle Bling so I can option up my titans. Need to grab the boxed starter game obviously to, but with a trip to WHE hopefully that’ll bare fruit!

  • 4 weeks later...

The first minis are here!

I had an absolute blast assembling them it has to be said. Maybe it’s the scale or something but I loved every minute!

First up are a pair of Lancers from House Sturscuta (pseudo German/Latin for Stubborn Shields). Though no Knight household is affiliated with Legio Damicium I felt these minis were far too good to waste! At the Siege of Terra Sturscuta found themselves fighting alongside Damicium as a marriage of convenience at best.

With the Loyalists falling back to the next section of the palace Legio Damicium found itself hunting within the outer quarters. Here the more agile Warhounds could truly come into their own I feel.

The battle damage was really fun to do and hopefully fits with Legio Damiciums fluff as well as portraying just how battered these god machines would be by the end of the war.

Hope you like them folks!

Managed to grab some hobby time today and knocked out the first Lancers for House Sturscuta.

The bases were really fun to paint and I think these clocked in at about an hour to do.
