Unfortunately they seem to have a problem with reactivating and washing off with even light amounts of moisture.

 

To be fair, Contrast can come off quite easily as it can be very thin, so you do need to do a quick varnish coat before doing anything rough to it (e.g. drybrushing), and definitely as a final finish to prevent gaming damage; so I've been known to do a light airbrush varnish coat once the contrast stage is 'done' (and another at the end for final protection). It's not an uncommon thing to do when you're working with oil washes too. And I can see circumstances where being able to reactivate (for example, to remove an overspill into an unwanted area) might be useful sometimes.

 

That said, *having* to seal it before doing anything else including touchups will be a bit annoying though, as it definitely doesn't look optional. My handful of pre-orders should be shipping around the end of this week, so I guess I'll find out for myself!
