Going to put some proper effort into my Custodes army this year, and give some of my existing characters painting overhauls. Let's start with the big man himself - Trajann Valoris!

White robes are a bit of a mess, mostly because of my inexperience shading white, and the eagle sadly. Overall, he's miles better than my previous incarnation. Pretty happy with his Axe, and the silver engravings, and the gems.

Next up some shadowkeepers ready for re-priming.

White is such a striking colour, especially on heroic models, but it is a nightmare to paint. Because of the nature of the paint, shadowed areas and thinner painted areas show very easily, it shows up every imperfection. I only ever have good results on tiny bits or with spraying. Props to you though, I can't see anything to be ashamed of in that cloak, though I would consider adding some bright gemstones to the lion's eyes, rubies to compliment the red plume or sapphires to draw parallels to the helmet''s lenses would be my recommendations. Of course, it looks great without, you did some good work there!
