Has anyone played against Tau since their codex dropped?

Last week i played my first game against Tau. I had the first turn and dropped my longfangs with greyhunters in a pod in melta range of one of his stormsurge’s. Did 0 damage

Shield drones are a pain to deal with, In large units attached to battle suits they provide a ton of ablation. There is currently no marine assault unit that can get through 10 shield drones and do any meaningful damage to the suits (most can't even get through the drones).

It is quiet feasible for a tau player to bait out your best unit + assisting character into a charge then just fall back having only lost 120 points of drones and leaving your best melee unit with its arse hanging out.
