You could have a squad of wolf guard/blood claws drop in a pod. Then drive up a wolf priest on a bike to give them +2 to their charge.

That said first turn charges aren't always ideal typically your hitting a screening unit, and the squad your using will be more expensive. In 9th things in the open die so that isn't ideal, your basically giving your opponent a positive trade. I like to try to advance behind obscuring and get the screens out of the way before I commit.

Getting a good unit like Thunderwolves into melee is normally a good result. But even the best unit can get surrounded and killed if not supported. A Character like the Primaris Wolf Priest on Bike can Advance & Charge if given the Saga of the Hunter.

You can get most of your army in but if you go 2nd your army fails

You are also hitting with fairly weak melee

Incursors 9" from DZ

Foot infantry coming out of DPs (BCs are common but you could also put WG on foot with upgraded weapons

Bike character with hunter to charge after moving 20"

More of a gimmick than legit tactic

I found 3 incursors with lord of deceit as plan B a good balance

Thanks for the advice! A Wolf Priest is a Chaplain in 9th?

Yesterdag my thunderwolf cavalry got slaughtered by Salamander Aggressors when charging.... So I need other strategies (I'm new to 40k ;-)).

Yeah wolf priests are chaplains, ours just have an extra stratagem. The primaris chaplain on a bike is one of our best units.
