Can't believe I missed that XD wonder if they'll ever be released on their own!

They need their own sprues to be released on their own. So a stand alone kit. Given how long its taken, not holding my breath.

Given my love/hate relationship with EtB kits I am chomping at the bit to have a Suppressors kit.

Instant 4 box minimum buy :smile.:

Yeah it is extremely frustrating that they haven't released the kit yet.  I'm hoping when they release the kit Suppressors get a 2nd weapon option.  The autocannon is an oddly placed weapon if they get a second choice.  If it is a las-talon then suppressors are in direct competition with Firestrike Turrets, and if it is an Onslaught Gatling then they are in direct competition with Inceptors.  Not sure what else they could do for a second choice.

I'm also planning on picking up several boxes of Suppressors  when they finally get their own box.  Personally I think that the Inceptor squad looks dumb.  So I'm planning to convert some Suppressors to make their gun either a Heavy Bolter or Plasma Cannon and have those as Inceptor proxies.  Should look sweet when I can finally get to it.

I've been thinking that the Suppressors just won't be getting a second weapon option for that very reason. Thus why I'm in the camp of thinking that the eventual Suppressor box will be a multi-build kit where the other option is a Close Support Omnis squad that's a more direct equivalent of the Assault Marines.

Wouldn't surprise me if THAT squad wound up with a couple of different weapons options, but I'm not putting any money on the Suppressors being able to be fielded with anything but the Autocannons.

This is true, but at the same time the Marine Codex has so many units that everything is in direct competition with something. Suppressors are already in direct competition with Whirlwinds and any unit packing four Heavy Bolters depending on what you're taking them for, so it's not like an alternate build overlapping something else is unprecedented.

If we were voting on it I would totally opt for Shrike-style twin lightning claws with Combat Shield on a 3-6 man unit as the alternate build, Primaris-only collections want that more than just about anything else.

Yes, Primaris players want a twin lightning claw jump squad, but I'd disagree that everyone wants that in a dual-build box with Suppressors, which would make it an Omnis-armored squad.

I would bet most people would expect such a squad to be wearing the more nimble modified-Phobos armor pattern of the Kayvaan Shrike model.

Personally, I've been expecting for years that we'd get both: an Omnis dual-build "Assault" squad with probably ranged and melee wargear options and for whom a Combat Shield would make sense, but also a purely melee-focused Shrike-pattern Vanguard Vets equivalent with the twin Lightning Claws.

Last time I checked, Tacticus armor did not have Omnis style thrusters in the legs

It’s literally called out as tacticus in the community article.

As a final treat, let’s zoom in on a particular part of the trailer – Titus hasn’t lost his devastating assault jump, and time hasn’t slowed his fury. As he smashes aside a hormagaunt brood with extreme prejudice, you might notice that the jump pack pattern he’s using is a little unfamiliar. In fact, you won’t have seen it anywhere before, because it’s a brand-new pattern designed by the Warhammer Design Studio for the Mk X Tacticus armour used in Space Marine 2.

Emphasis, mine. Edited by Blindhamster

Roasted.

And it is not like we do not have precedent for some versions of armor having little feet thrusters and other versions not having little feet thrusters.

For example - Inceptors have the boot blasters, Eradicators do not.

People pick the weirdest things to argue about sometimes.

It might be more nimble in the lore, but one is M 6" and the other is M 12" with fly.

You might also have missed that I said Twin Claws and Combat Shield. An A4 jump unit with Ap2, wound rerolls, and a 2+/5++ seems pretty VV equivalent to me. But that's just, like, my opinion man.

Twin claw and shield unit I don't see how that will work. Mabye with stances, use two claws cant use shield, use shield can't use second claw. Really there should be a quick moving dual claw omni armoured jump unit, Mk X jump unit with combat shield and a modded 1H chainblade, volkite pistol options for 1 in 5, 10 cap.

Could totally see a dual claw unit coming at some point, if for no other reason than they'd go nicely with shrike. Perhaps using the shrike style claws (which in turn are corax style claws) and they'd have guns as well as claws. Presumably they'd be in modified phobos like shrike I guess.

But I also think we'll see a modified tacticus jump unit with probably HBPs and Astartes chainswords. Possibly with options to take some extra melee a bit like assault intercessors. Think these guys would be targetted at fast attack and be cheap and fast.
