BrainFireBob
Question: I am going to end up with a couple of Reiver bodies I don't need. Anyone know/any thoughts on whether they'd work for the Infiltraor comms array? Going to have some extra of those bits down the line. As in, will they invisibly blend? phandaal
Phobos bodies all match up, no worries there. The helmet and backpack arrays really make the biggest difference visually. Might have to do some trimming to get infiltrator parts to stick on a Reiver backpack but otherwise it should be fine. ValourousHeart
The suggestion I always make is the eliminators kit comes 3 lascannons and 6 sniper rifles, but only 3 bodies. So it is easy to knock out 9 snipers with a single kit and 2 sets of the easy build reivers. So it should be the same with the other non easy build kits. Tokugawa
The most important "wargear" on visual for eliminator is the big cloak, which don't have spare bits in the box. That is true, but cloaks are one of the easier things to sculpt with green stuff. Roll flat and thin like a blanket Drape over model Create creases / folds to conform to the model's pose Create billows to give a sense of motion. Or an even easier version is the "bedroll" which you can see on the OG scouts (the ones with bolters and shotguns). Form a small block about 2 CM x 3/4 CM x 1/4 CM... or just eyeball it to fit on top of the backpack. On the short end make horizontal cuts to give the impression of layers folder over. Bend it over the top of the backpack and make it look like it was tied there. Rik Lightstar
Even easier is to just get some bandage and cut out appropriately sized "sheets". Roll these roughly and then tie with thin cable ties. Soak them in pva glue and let them dry. You'll have wrapped fabric "cloaks" that you can glue onto the backpacks of your dudes. Rik Lightstar
Steal away, if I was even vaguely precious about the idea or had any delusions that it was mine I'd have kept quiet. I have no idea who or where I stole it from, but such is the hobby "circle of life".
