Using Dominion Zephon in 40k

I was planning on using Dominion Zephon as the warlord of my BA army. I haven't found official rules for using him in games of 40k, which doesn't surprise me, nor have have I found any suitable ideas for rules on his possible 40k load out.

 

I really like the model as it is. I would like to come up with custom rules that match his load out, rather than customize the model itself, for use in casual 40k games, campaigns etc... I don't want to gain an unfair advantage from using custom rules, nor do I want to shoot myself in the leg from using him either.

 

I was thinking something along regular BA captain with jump pack for starters, obviously.

 

I could go with just relic blade, but I'd prefer something more special for a model that looks way better than Dante. Hammer of Bhaal could count as a two handed sword. It has exactly the same profile as High Marshal Helbrecht's two-handed profile. That would cost the same as a Thunder Hammer.

 

I suppose I could use the Blade of Judgement rules from the crusade relics instead. It's points cost is harder to figure, but the price of a power sword or a relic blade is definitely too low. I'd go with 25pts-30pts. I don't know for sure how many points full re-rolls versus characters should be for an otherwise Hammer of Baal profile.

 

Lastly his guns. I suppose purgatus or some other relic could count as his volkite pistols, but I'd rather use the real deal, so a neo-volkite pistol profile from the Primaris Lieutenant could work. Pair of them would be 30pts, a steep cost to match the load out of Zephon.

 

So, a jump pack captain with two neo-volkite pistols and Blade of Judgement would be the same cost as Dante and more than High Marshal Helbrecht, without being a chapter master like those two.

 

Too powerful, way too weak or just about right? Can't decide. I've never used volkite pistols and otherwise the character is pretty much something that can be legally built from BA codex already. If someone has an opinion on this, please share.

Hah, I didn't notice that neo-volkite on a char is 15pts! It's only 5pts on a BGVet Sarge

But it's three times better than plasma pistol on characters! For some reason plasma pistol stays the same though, whether wielded by a character or sgt.

I have ordered the model, but haven't yet gotten it. Depending on how the bare head looks like in practice i.e. unpainted, I'll either use it or use one of my forge world BA helmets. Beaked helmet is ok, but it is fairly common among jump pack marines such as raven guard. I want something different, so bare head or forge world helmet it is.

What about arming him with relic blade and master-crafted plasma pistol? Without overheating it would deal similar damage but with more reliability (wounding and bypassing armour easier than neo-volkite)?
