For my next project, I want to do the Dark Angels 5th Company in Primaris.

One big snag is the OOB; I would like at least 2 squads of Assault Intercessors. However that takes up both close support options.

Would it really be so bad to have two of the battle like squads as Assault Intercessors and use the close support squads for other interesting units that fit those roles?

I was thinking of the following for the OOB:

Company Master- Lazarus

Primaris LT x2

Masters Household - Tech Marine, Apothecary, Librarian, Chaplin x 2, Company Ancient. 3 Redemptor Dreadnaughts.

Company Veterans - 3 Squads of Blade Guard Veterans.

Battle Line:

10 Intercessors x2

10 Heavy Intercessors x2

10 Assault Intercessors x2

Close Support:

Supressors x3 units (1 9 man squad in 3 teams)

Fire Support:

Aggressors x3 (1 9 man squad in 3 teams)

Eliminators x3 (1 9 man squad in 3 teams)

10 x Heavy Hellblasters

Armory

1x Repulsor

3x Impulsor

3x Gladiator

3x New Primaris Speeder things.

Does this seem like an acceptable OOB for the 5th Company?

I think you might have the Suppressors and the aggressors in opposite roles.  Or you might be thinking of Inceptors.

Aggressors are slow walking (5 inch movement) units with 18 inch range bolters or 12 inch range flamers.

Inceptors are jump troops (10 inch movement) units with 18 inch range heavy bolters or plasma guns.

Suppressors are jump troops (12 inch movement) units with 48 inch range Autocannons.

Suppressors seem to have more in common with Eliminators and Hellblasters given their range and high strength weapons than Aggressors do.

After doing more research, I think I can structure my company more towards the Lore.

I will do 5th Company with supporting elements from 10th and 2nd Company.

Here is my OOB:

Command:

Captain- Master Lazarus

2iC - Dark Angels Primaris LT with sword and Plasma pistol.

3iC - Indomidus LT

I think this will be a pretty fluffy force that let's me build a full company without sacrificing any cool units from the primaris range to company restrictions.

Still want some Agressors in there somewhere, but I have time to figure that out.

After I finish my Death Guard in May I hope to finish this Company by Christmas.

Few minor changes and you can get your Aggressors.

Drop 2 Intercessor units and move your Assault Intercessors to battle line.

Put your Aggressors in as close support.

Trade out one of your Infiltrators squads for an Incursor squad.

Add a 2nd Outrider Squad.

Add a squadron of Invaders.

Drop 1 Storm Speeder (you won't need the Hailstrike)

You have a techmarine in the retinue, but you could also techncially have them as part of the armory if you take firestrike turrets.  Lore wise they are around between battles getting the other vehicles up to fighting weight, but during the battle instead of just waiting around to fix something they man a gun platform.  It is also expected that there will be more than 1 techmarine with a force this size.

According to the lore Ravenwing 2nd squadron is oversized because that is the squadron that the Nephilim and Dark Talon pilots are pulled from.  So having a larger than expected contingent of Ravenwing is actually still canon.  These changes bring your RW marine count to 18 which is equal to your DW count.

Good ideas! More outriders would be good! I didn't want to include too much raven wing since I figure they are spread out all over the chapter, but I do love outriders. I like the invader ATVs rules, but I kinda hate it's look. For my BT I built but did not paint a GSC buggy converted to be an invader ATV, copied someone off Here I think, I could do more of those!

With the storm speeders, I was thinking of running them all as either the melta or Las talon ones. The getting cannon one seems very expensive for what it brings.

It is your collection, and you are welcome to purchase whatever you want.  But I was considering this from a lore prospective.

It just seems odd to me that only 3 Outriders would be tasked with hunting down a Fallen that the Inner Circle feels requires the presence of 3 members of the Inner Circle, 15 Members of Deathwing, and 3 of the DW most honored Dreadnoughts in order to capture or kill that particular Fallen.  Storm Speeders could be used, but are a lot less subtle in their search, which could spook the prey.

In other words, it seems like the concentration of DW is significant enough to warrant more of the chapter's resources.

I get that this game is about esthetics, and you either love or hate particular models.  But the Invader is a really good unit, and really deals well with units that would otherwise wreck Outriders, and they function a lot like the Land Speeder Tornados do for RW, which are IMO the real work horses of the RW.  So if kit bashing is how you are able to get Invaders into your list, so much the better.
