General idea is to keep the Krootox’ s in the rear. They cap the back objectives and prevent enemy deep strikes behind the main line. Vespid’s deep strike and do secondaries. Carnivores and characters are the main line. Ethereal generates CP and gives out +1 to wound.

Always nice to see another Kroot player. :biggrin.: I like the list, but there are a couple Kroot based improvements that could be made.

1. If you have them, Kroot Hounds are actually quite good and are worth replacing a few units of Carnivores for. They are absurdly fast and can usually close a charge turn 1 (7" pregame, plus 12" move, then charge makes their average range 26"). In larger games, save them to set up last and put them in a position to close on vulnerable ranged targets, or use them to tie up vehicles in close combat.

2. The Krootox are actually really strong in melee now and can chew through things like marines pretty easily. I'd recommend keeping a couple units of Carnivores back in cover for their additional save instead, and use the Krootox as more front line shock troops. They were better at backfield holding last edition, but they pack such a good melee punch now, they are even better on the front.

3. If you play with Legendary units allowed and can get your hands on some Great Knarlocs, they are quite strong at only 65 points and 3 of them would allow you to run all this in a single detachment instead of two to save on CP. The aura of exploding 6's to all Kroot is pretty great in the larger armies if they don't get focused down right away.

4. It can be worth running a single unit of 20 carnivores over two of the 10's to get more value out of the Ethereal buff as well as forcing a target to s specific area.

Who owns that many Kroot? lol

Ahem... *raises hand*
