Squats should launch with at least one of each unit type.

HQ, Troops, Elite, Fast Attack, Heavy Support.

Assuming the HQ can be taken more than once, that gives the ability to create any of the standard detachments right off the bat.

Troop: Hearthkyn Warriors

HQ: Hearthkyn Prime

Elite: Hearthkyn Veterans

Fast Attack: Hearthkyn Sprinters

Heavy Support: 3 Hearthkyn in a trench coat.

They strongly hinted we will see more kyn on Friday, so I guess either a prospector gang for necromunda or, more likely, a Leagues kill team.

The Kill Team Core Rules mentions skirmishes on spacecraft so I'm hoping for Kyn on a Hulk.

That would be at odds with a trike though.

Given the way new KT works, I'm really hoping a future expansion gives rules for fighting light vehicles and medium sized monsters, and I think you could fit something like this trike in

The clone stuff is neat.

I wonder what the twist will be. Maybe the Skeins are slowly degrading?

Kin are straight up Sontarans. I love it.

Sontar-ha!

Actually, if that's the setting you're looking at, the Timelords themselves are a closer match. They're born from "looms" which contain a huge amount of biological data and draw upon that to weave unique beings. The Sontarans, on the other hand, are all nearly identical, which is very specifically not the case for the Kyn.

Not even Hoggle and his street sweeper can dim my enthusiasm.

Clones seem like a neat concept, and a good way to explain why Squats stay Squatty even when they leave their high gravity worlds.

Edit - wait, this means that in 40k, Dwarves really DO spring from holes in the ground. The memes are real!

Very happy that there are a lot of people still on board- I want the Votann to be successful and make people happy, even if I don't like them.

I was okay with the clean armour, I like the fluff that we've seen and I really like the Necromunda Miners. The trike had some features I liked- the photoshop pic floating around that gives the trike wheels and the driver a beard was awesome- I would have preordered 3.

I don't dislike all GW hover- eldar got it right, Custodes bikes look good, I like first born land speeders, and I could even live with primaris landspeeders... But I can't get behind the primaris and admech hover tanks, and this trike. And it's a shame, because while the trike is just one model, it sets an aesthetic, and if the army includes two wheeled bikes they too will likely follow the replace-wheels-with-fans style as well.

If the army is viable without hover bikes, there might still be enough about the army I like and I might still buy in. But if the Trike's aesthetic is is central to the larger army, I'm probably going to save money on these guys which I can redirect to other armies that are looking a little sparse at the moment.

If they truly End up being men of stone I'm hyped.

But it all comes down to the aesthetics. And innovation/new ideas.
