What do you spend Martial Legacy on?

Not all things are created equal, but 1 Command Point is 1 Command Point, so as a blanket statement, which Martial Legacy units are worth the 1 CP cost?

 

As a less blanket statement, coming up against a transhuman leviathan nidzilla list, is there anything worth taking?

I don't own a Leviathan Siege Dread yet, but I certainly will once the HH plastic kit comes out. That nonsense is probably worth a cp.

 

Then again I'm probably going to buy a Sicaran too unless the translation to plastic is absolute pants and I'm not sure I'll spend the cp on that after the first time it blows up in my line.

Oooh... So many choices! Leviathans are my first instinct, but then Contemptors are excellent, are they ML units? I truly wish that my Fellblade was worth 1 CP on top of it's points cost, as it stands it isn't worth half it's cost.

 

Griping aside, the FW whirlwind could be good, decent AP and some ignore LoS advantages make it fairly useful to me at least. The Vindicator Laser Destroyer might be a good shout, with new Nids right around the corner it could tempt me.

Leviathan for me because I'm not going to not use it. For things like Contemptors that have a non-Martial Legacy option to use the model with, I'll save the CP and downgrade from Relic to regular. If there was some kind of inferior Leviathan statline to save a CP and some points, I'd probably take that instead.

 

In terms of min/max spending, Relic Contemptor seems to be good value for the CP spent, and still appears commonly in winning lists.

They're fast too! I'm always fascinated by the idea of the Venator with twin Lascannon sponsons. 210pts for basically 5 lascannon shots a turn, and on the offchance you can afford to remain stationary... yikes.

I have tried the regular Sicaran with Lascannon Sponsons before Armor of Contempt in a few games of Crusade. That 2+ save was rather pathetic, again no AoC. The shooting feels woefully low.
