Getting back to my Templar roots a bit with some new additions, want to try this list out, grateful for your opinions:

General idea is I can constitute two main thrusts for each flank depending on the matchup. Some games might want Helbrecht with the Crusaders, somtimes with the Sword Brethren. Grimaldus will invariably have the Redemptors in tow. Marshal can babysit or be a deep striking threat. Terminators will play mindgames with the Seal. Infiltrators can ensure objectives are reasonably safe from enemy reserves. Outriders can play cheeky objective games with our Obsec strat.

Pretty similar overall scheme but highly likely to take Accept now for the Vow, and make maximum use of cover. 

 

Central thrust is the Sword Brethren, Dreadnoughts, and characters, now with plenty of re-rolls, SB rocking six attacks each with Accept, Honour Vehement, and Fires of Devotion, taking Chapter Master re-rolls to fish for exploding & auto-wounding 6s with Gene-Wrought Might and Exemplars of the Crusade. 

 

Eliminators happily plink away at key enemy characters, at the very least forcing them into hiding. Infiltrators screen out my backfield. Assault Intercessors are a bit of a veiled threat with a fight-twice Balthus Feast Champion. Terminators play re-roll mindgames, Aggressors assist Intercessors, Outriders clear screens/play objective shenanigans/tag something with nasty shooting and hope to hold onto them with strat.

Further modification. I think it plays as a gunline with teeth - initial longrange pounding with all the Plasma before a countercharge.

Rough plan

 

- Deploy deep to take advantage of longrange and hopefully bait the enemy forward

- Big first turn of plasma shooting, full re-rolls on the Hellblasters, they will hide behind obscuring then move in my turn & use Remain Stationary strat

- Sword Brethren, dreads, and characters then charge forward into glorious melee

Further modification after some gametime. Fewer eggs in one basket, more combat goodness, and a cheeky Bike Chaplain.

- Reasonably stiff shooting backline from Dreads, Hellblasters, Heavy Intercessors

- Two capable assault units from Termies and Sword Brethren, buffs shared out as needed

- Bike Chaplain Cruise missile (yes he will take Divine Protection, Fires, Oath, and Bombastic delivery himself Litany of Hate for those sweet exploding 6s)

- Snipers force choices on opponent characters

- Infiltrators screen off any surprises
