Highlander tournament this weekend, fairly casual. Just for a lark I took a Stalwart/Warded Iron Hands* successor and included as many 2+ saves as I could:

-Terminator chief Libby with Fortress, Might, and Null Zone

-Primaris Techmarine

-Terminators with missiles

-Assault and Devastator Centurions (3x flamers, 2x melta, and all the bolters, and 2x Heavy Bolters, 1x Las, and all the missiles respectively)

-Eliminators

And then:

-A couple of Grav Cannon Tac squads

-Heavy Intercessors

-Dakka Redemptor

-Las/Missile Ven Dread with the character upgrade

-Suppressors

-Apothecary

Not exactly super optimized, but it proved remarkably resilient. I didn't use Transhuman or the 5+++ strat for non-mortal wounds at all and I still managed to just out-tough a Salamanders list run by a friend who I have a terrible track record against and a monster heavy 'nid list. Both games ended in turn four tablings.

There wasn't a lot of Light Cover on those tables and AoC spared me a whole lot of failed saves on twos, but even with that I was still glad I'd brought Psychic Fortress and the two defensive Successor traits. That Libby was absolutely the man of the match in the first game, the number of 5++ saves I made in the first turn broke my opponent's brain a little.

* It's worth pointing out that I've played IH maybe one other time in 9th before today, so my strat use was probably terrible.
