Do you think anyone would have a major issue with me setting down scourges and saying they are swooping hawks?

-metal/resin models with wings = topple over/break

-they are direct only...I prefer to support my FLGS

-base size is a bit of a problem....swooping hawks are on 25mm bases which is nuts for tall/top heavy model. I'm putting my scourges on 28 to match the rest of my guardians...

-swooping hawks models look kind of dated / old to me.

I'm not really 'converting' the scourges but I am:

-painting them in the same color scheme as my Aeldari

-clipping off some of the 'razory' bits from the guns and models to "de-drukhari" them a bit.

-only using the feathery wings (because, hawks)

-putting them on 28mm bases, as opposed to 32mm, which is the standard for scourges, in order to clearly define them in the event that I did a mixed Eldar army and included scourges with my swooping hawks (highly unlikely).

I wouldn't have an issue with it but I know some people probably will. I would probably never use them if I allied in Dark Eldar just to avoid any complaints there, but really just check with your opponents. Edited by Nemesor Tyriks

I am doing roughly what your saying except I put new guardian heads on mine...

Close up pic to show where I trimmed the guns to try and look more "Eldar"

   haha well done, they look great !

I'm using the scourge heads on my Saim-Hann Wild riders to make them look more tribal and aggressive :cool.:

Now you've made me want to go and finish mine and paint them up !!

Cheers, Mithril
