Look at that! I totted up the current completed PL from the Royal Awakening, our frenemies for this event, and we're pretty much level - we need some more completions to pull ahead and win this thing!

Progress report -

Apart from the two at the back playing catch up (they were late to the party) I am down to tongues, teeth and bases to meet competition criteria, I think. These things don't have eyes, do they...?

Edit: the two latecomers have been brought up to the standard of the rest and they each now have a Khorne Red tongue!

The bases we're more relaxed about, as they take a bit more time and are often not decided upon, but all parts of the model painted is enough, really nice work!

Apologies for the poor photo but I believe this is pledge complete.

As previous photo but tongues shaded with crimson and teeth done with Wraithbone / Skeleton Horde.

An attempt has been made at a 'Space Hulk' base but it will need to be revisited in future!

That's sixteen for sixteen.

Cudos to you Hive Tyrants who've submitted all of these great builds and paints You've done the Tyranids proud.

.... then there's me In spite of all efforts to work on my submissions and get them in at a decent time, I seem to be cursed to cram everything in at the last minute Sure, it's fun waking up at 4am just to get an hour or two of building and painting in before life rushes in to fill the rest of the day but I just wish that at some point I could keep a normalish schedule.... sigh.

So, I've got the next four days of with a clean schedule (fingers crossed) to get at least a portion of my vow in...... wish me luck

There's a marginal chance that I might eek in my Gargoyles, but I'm not optimistic

With the heat lessened I was able to get back into the swing of it. 3 Venomthropes finished, just in time.

 

 

I also finished the rest of the unfinished models to finish the army, so between last year’s event and this one 2000p or thereabout of Treeranids got painted. Thank you Xenith for running them.

Congrats to all who made some completions, and shame upon those who didn't! This event was a lot smaller than last year's and punctured by the 3 week site downtime smack bang in the middle which put a spanner in the works of everyone's favourite hobby, and wrecked painting mojos all round. I think this was a success though, and I personally had some fun with a bit of time pressure and got a good bunch of biomass painted to feed the endless hunger of Hive Fleet Jabberwocky. Thanks to everyone that took part and made this a success, and you can claim your badges from the above pictures. In due time, I'll also award these badges directly to your profiles and award appropriate forum points
