What are your predictions for the weekend release preview?

Obviously the entire box, but I imagine also the Kratos and maybe a squad for heavy weapons and upgrades for SoH, WE, UF and BA.

 

Maybe Breachers and MKVI jump troops.

I’m thinking we’ll get some kind of roadmap/expectation-setting, a brief rundown of the new rules, and some plastic stuff previewed. I would hope we’ll see something that builds on the MKVI to make something like despoilers, assault marines, or breachers. They’ll need to get at least troops handled sooner than later.

But they’re probably also looking to show something new new, so the Kratos os the obvious choice there.

Well the Leviathan has gone from FW, so the only option is for it to be in plastic and with the latest Legion versions most likely being done in CAD they'll have a base line for it to make it easier when making different Legions in the future.

I can't imagine they would cram in a reveal of a Leviathan anytime soon when we haven't even gotten the Contemptor in hand yet.  I'm sure they'll want to save their big reveals for another time when they want to boost the hype again etc.

OOORRRR....   The Leviathan mold is just shot and FW doesnt want to make a new one if the plastic is coming.  Even if it is a year or more out...

 

If the Leviathan was coming soon the weapons would have went too (like the contemptor weapons)  They didn't so I think it is more likely they don't want to spend money they will just throw away in a bit.

 

 

To the OP:.   Faiet only covers GW plastic rumors.   I want to see more of the "smaller, easier and faster to cast" accessory kits that have been rumored for FW.  We have no leaks for resin models.

Breacher upgrade kit for Mk 6..   

Assault squad or at least jump packs

Chainswords  and or power weapons set if they arent on the mk 6 sprues

Wacky RT era weapons like the Imperial Space Marine has..

That sounds way less likely than them having a kit lined up. They took all of these down in a group (Contemptor, Leviathan, Spartan, Sicaran, Rhino, etc.) with a last chance to buy period (which might have even been MTO to some extent, i.e., they'd honor all placed).

 

It makes sense that any kits set aside as LCTB at that time are going to be getting releases in plastic sooner rather than later. If they weren't going to do them in plastic in the near term, they'd've just left the resin kit up.

Bang on what I am expecting. I think the full box contents was probably intended and GW won't have had too much planned other than that. Feels like the pattern recently - big reveals leaked at the last minute leaving everyone slightly disappointed on the day.

 

Not that the box set was going to be a big surprise to any of us but GW are still playing it like the potato-cam leak last year never happened.

 

I would like a roadmap too. Just to give me hope for the future.

It's the Open Day Saturday too right? I'm expecting a full breakdown of the box, a look at actual Deimos Rhinos, Sicarans, Kratos. As for hopes, upgrades for despoilers/support squads/heavy weapons, Leviathan and at the very least news on what the plan is regarding the mass kits if not the character series

As they've started showing off Marduk Sedras now, perhaps a few resin models might also be on the table? Maybe they'll finish out the DA line (Corswain, etc.), or we'll see a few Praetors as well. Otherwise, those might just be done on Thursdays going forward.

Expecting to see the lctb stuff in plastic for sure, hoping to see more basic troop types and not neccesarrily in mk 6, I can def see them only wanting to do mk 2 or 3 breachers for instance cause you know breachers are rad but not exactly best sellers, hoping as well to see upgrade kits for legions as well as units a mk 6 seeker upgrade is pretty lore appropriate to any era and how I plan to utilize at least some of the mk 6 from the box set.
