I’ve not seen any photos of it from the various galleries on Facebook from the event either.

If Heresy Thursday is continuing, guess we'll see that tank shortly.

We have 3 Thursdays before June, I wonder if they will last until then with previews, maybe other forge world characters and the tank?

I find it quite odd that so little of the special/heavy weapons were shown on models. Surely there's images on the back of the boxes that are already shot, as they will have already have the boxes printing from what we know of GW's production times.

 

Maybe they are saving them for a Heresy Thursday?

Less than £200 took me from 'I'm skipping this' to being back on the Heresy train again.

 

I even dug out my Betrayal at Calth and Burning of Prospero boxes which are largely untouched!

AOS is out this week. That leaves 3 weeks. Is there anything else that's been confirmed for this month at all? CSM is the only thing that's imminent iirc unless they do a 2 week pre-order window like with Indomitus and such.

They 2 week preorder every starter box these days, id be really surprised if they didnt for this.

It stopped because FW hauled on the brake lever and it all ground to a halt :D

I’m insanely hyped. Box set is not for me since I already have my 10 varagyr and 30 true scale mk3 done from death guard kits but I will definitely buy 3 rhinos, one of the Kratos and the two praetors from the box set from some eBay vendor since I seem to be one of the only ones that loves both models.

I like the Praetors, the axe one being the clear winner as it ages.

 

The other will make a solid centurion for some Stormwing.

Ech, still not shown anything im likely to buy yet. Really bad news that its only marines on release, which likely means months even years before the other armies are back in the game, which is i think, needlessly frustrating.

 

I do like that the price has come down a bit, i suspect because of the strong negative reaction the first leaks (from a few sources on that specific point) inspired because it makes the game a lot more accessible, the last thing AoD needs is more elitism  

 

I am feeling massed Predators/Sicarians again though (Mostly thanks to Sarabando! ) so if they can get those out before i lose interest again i might be persuaded to do another tank company

 

There's absolutely no way they've lowered the price, that would cut into their profit margin massively.  They'll have STARTED with the price of the box and worked backwards deciding the contents to make sure they make a 50%+ margin, anything less and it's not really worth it for them.

I imagine their margins on the starter box might be lower as it's expected to bring new people in to 30k, and they will buy other stuff at their crazy prices.

Everyone that buys that box is buying like 3 rhinos, etc. (Exaggerating a bit). But if you bite on it, GW will make up the difference on further sales

Yeah starter boxes by their very nature have lower margins, though 50% margin would be extremely low for GW as I understand it :D but yeah in things like consoles for example they often sell at a loss to get people on board with a larger system, which isn't gw's style but it's fairly basic retail strategy.

 

Again i heard among others, "well over 200" and I belive that to have been accurate at the time.
