The specific crusade is very dogmatic. They see the current marines as an expression for the emperors vision made manifest. The Primaris were not part of his vision, and in fact change it, so they're actually heretical. It's a very a normal religious fundamentalism type of view. And not representative of the entire chapter, but this one crusade. On the one side it feels very cringe that there is a crusade which kills Custodes but on the other hand it feels very nice because of the aggressive nature and the behavior from this battle brothers when there is something they dont like. I'm not sure, because I haven't read it. Is there a Marshall that says no, don't do anything bad? Is attacking Custodes heretical? We've seen from Chris wraights 40k series that inquisitors and marines have attacked Custodes when they want their way. I could be wrong, but arnt Marshall's and Castilians just Sword Brethren appointed to those positions of leadership for the Crusade they are on? Like, other Sword Brethren can have a say in things, in the Crusade? The Inquisition usually does not :cuss with Templars because they like to call on them. Templars told the Inquisition to stop ficking with Celestial Lions, for instance, and they almost listened. Space Wolves have killed Sisters of Battle and fought other Inquisitorial Forces before, as well.
