The rule for the incursors is: "Each time an attack is made with this weapon the target does not receive the benefits of cover against that attack".

 

So, the benefits of cover do not apply if an attack is made. So sequencing appears to resolve this. In this case, the Deathleaper ability says: "While this model is receiving the benefits of cover, it cannot be selected as the target of a ranged attack if the attacker is more than 12" away."

 

So, I think if it is in cover, it can't be selected as a target of an attack. Which means the Incursors rule does not apply, as it is triggered each time an attack is made.

I'm playing against Tyranids this Friday so I was looking for something to help me but it looks like I need to find something different...

 I feel you, I play Raven Guard as my main army and started a 'Nid army about 18 months ago as well. It sucks that there is no counter for it.... at this time ;)
