How broke are you going to be in June?

Dont want the big box, guess it depends what armies are playable on release with an outside chance of our group doing a group army build again.

For once I want pretty much everything apart from the HQ minis, really dont like those. Wasnt expecting so many Terminators or Mk6 to be included, thats what swung it for me even though I dont think GW products are worth the price they ask, Im a sucker for some Mk6.

I've been quietly stockpiling Ultramarine shoulder pads, details, and Praetorian breacher shields since the first rumours and blurry pics.

 

I'm getting one box and the Loyalist Legion book to start me off. But between the box and a pile of era appropriate vehicles and character models in my pile of potential I have enough for a decent 2000pt list. 

 

I will be good from then on and not get anything I'm not certain to use immediately. Well I'll try at least....

Its that damned Kratos... That dozerblade is brutal I can't wait to see what some of the creative nutjobs on here do with it with legions like World Eaters and Death Guard..

Probably up for a lot. Hammer of Olympia is my current army, I'll shuffle over the sicarans, falchion, new Kratos(s) to do armoured breakthrough. Then to fill out HoA I will need predators and land raiders instead. Launch box, probably do RG. I really need to finish up my custodes now though before HH release.

Leviathan and/or plastic Dreadnought Drop Pod (unlikely I reckon as they "recently" redesigned it) or Dreadclaw (though off the top of my head they can't take Dreadclaws, Contemptors can though!).

I don't know yet. I know that I will probably pick up a box of Sternguard and Vanguard boxes - along with one of the old chapter upgrade sprues or some bits - to kitbash a legion Praetor.  I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to pick up the box or only a few things (the Spartan, the Contemptor, and the Cataphractii) from it and then pick up a few individual Tactical squads.  I am probably going to grab the Space Marine Heroes set. And maybe Fafnir Rann or Dominion Zephon?

I've been saving up for a while now, so not going to be broke, but they've hit a lot of things I want. Definitely going to pick up a box and both of the books, as I play Word Bearers and Dark Angels already.

 

I'd pick up a Land Raider, but for $170 for a Proteus at this point, there's just no point over giving my Word Bearers the Spartan that's in the box, or even just a separate Spartan kit afterwards for that matter. Looking forward to the Kratos though. That'll be the perfect centrepiece model for the Ironwing, and it's the perfect big blank canvas to have a field day using the Word Bearers decal sheet on.

We got quite a bit of excitement from some of the regulars for Horus Heresy, which has helped to increase my own hype. That said....I still haven't 100% picked a Legion, but I plan on getting the box for myself at the bare minimum. The plan afterwards will likely involve Legion specific dice and Primarch and then....lots of conversions and such to get some more theme and flavor into the starter box and beyond. We shall see where it all leads, doing one traitor and one loyalist legion would be sweet, but that may be more.....down the line sort of thing. lol

I’m just getting started with 30k, after considering it for about 10 years! I plan to start a small force of Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists and see where I go from there.

 

So already bought Fafnir Rann, a couple of boxes of Mark III, the pair of heroes from the Calth box that I managed to find on eBay, plus some Breachers and Reavers from Forgeworld. So my wallet is feeling the strain already!

 

Got five tactical marines, Fafnir and the plastic chaplain done for the Fists, and five tactical marines and the terminator praetor done for the SoH already, building the breacher squad now. Going to hold off on building the other Mark III to sprinkle them into heavy and specia weapon squads.

 

Release wise, I’m definitely getting the big release box and the loyal/traitor army books, plus some of the heavy/special weapon boxes and that should do me for a while!

I hate to say it, but we shot ourselves in the foot kinda :)  By that I mean, those weapon boxsets are just the sort of convenient thing that a lot of us had wanted.. but they boxed them with not one, but two or three sets of 10.  By the time we buy our much appreciated CHOOM box and get fed up magnetising, that's potentially 3/4 of the marines used up and you still need compulsory troops lol.

I don't play much, but I like large armies on my shelf. I plan, tentatively, to have about 200 infantry between termies, veterans, tacticals, and special and heavy weapons troops, for my Sons of Horus. Thematically I think lots of troops look great! Edited May 20, 2022 by Marshall Mittens

Nothing for Solar Auxilia save the rulebook, so not very!

Mech player here, dont think anything but the rulebook even applies to the non marine armies. And even the rulebook may have no point if we dont get rules day 1.

Seing all of the HH stuff has got me back into building my Great Crusade-era stuff. Just ordered enough to finish a devastator company of 95 marines.. except in 6/8mm scale and using proxy minis :P

 

Although I have ordered a bunch of Aeronautica minis and Adeptus Titanicus terrain so there was a knock-on benefit for GW and the advertising has not been entirely wasted!
