Are most of the "new" CSM MKVI armor?

I'm working out how to convert my CSM to work as both 40k CSM legionares, and work in my SoH 30k army.

 

Mostly with shoulder/head/backpack swaps.

 

Looking at the legs and chests, 6 of the 10 odird in the CSM kit seem to be MKVI?

 

Am I wrong?

Chaos Space Marines have always had an abundance of Mark VI armour, particularly when it came down to the greaves. That said, they'd be better classified as wearing Mark V given the mixture of suit pieces.

I am sort of planning to do beakie helms, shoulders, but chaosy, and MKVI packs on the MKVI looking guys, and MKIII/IV backpacks and shoulders and chaosy MKIV helms on the 4 that are not MKVI.

 

I wonder why they don't do spikey beakies with the CSM kit. Probably would have looked great :/

I've seen mention in recent WarCom articles about how much the Emperor's Children loved Mark VI armor. I imagine in a few years when they get released we will see their vision for Chaos infused Mark VI. Hopefully it includes some beaks.

 

I do think though that the Sons of Horus upgrade heads (which they will probably preview soon) will have some spiked up Reaver-looking beakie heads.
