pauljamesog
Ahoy guys, I am a fluffy narrative player doing a side project and looking for some help. Normally I go for an old school grimdark approach to my armies, but for a change I want to do a side project (for Kill Team) with an Astartes Recon/Infiltrator team in Phobos armour. First thoughts were a RT era camo scheme (like the Mantis Warriors in the Tranquility Campaign stripes)- but I find that that approach, while different, lacks some pop and appeal overall. So other than Raptors (which everyone seems to do) - what other Chapter embraces Recon/Guerrilla/Stealth style fighting and uses tactical colours? As its a low model KT force, this is about the right look and theme Would love some ideas / suggestions / links Thanks in advance! tinpact
There was a neat Blood Angels army in desert camouflage on WarCom a while back. I don't know about embracing stealthy fighting, but guerilla Blood Angels is an interesting idea, no? edit: here Edited May 21, 2022 by tinpact Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/374319-seeking-inspiration-tacticalstealthy-phobos/#findComment-5830226 Share on other sites
mel_danes
I've started a side all Phobos army. Ultras are my go to. For the infiltrator guys only the shoulder, the chest plate and groin are blue. All the other armor is black. Saw a mini on Instagram done this way, looked amazing. My Reivers are all blue, as they don't have infiltrate. I find camo paint jobs work to well, and the mini disappears then. CCE1981
My general paint scheme is a rolling storm scheme. Like they are coming out of a thick fog, when they are together it is hard to focus on any one kinda of like a zebra effect. Son of Sacrifice
The Howling Griffins were pictured in Night World camo in one of the Forge World books, you could apply that to any chapter in theory. mertbl
I really like the transition camo paint jobs. Like going from full woodland camo to chapter colors.
