Couple of queries:

Engage On All Fronts

This came up in yesterday's game:

  • Can a qualifying unit move within 6" of the centre and allow you to score this secondary provided you have other qualifying units in three/four different quarters?
  • Can a non-qualifying unit move within 6" of the centre and still allow you to score this secondary provided you have qualifying units in three/four different quarters?

How do you score 2 points on this secondary? Isn't it always 4 given you need to be wholly within your opponents deployment zone (12" in fact) in order to begin and complete the Action?

I think you're misreading the second one. 2 VP's are awarded if you are wholly within 12" of the deployment zone and 4 VP's if you are within the deployment zone.

Within 12" of the deployment zone is usually about half way up the board, it's not requiring you to be 12" deep into the deployment zone.

  • Yes, as you note the qualifying unit will no longer count as in a quarter to score, so you might only get 3 quarters instead of 4.
  • Can a non-qualifying unit move within 6" of the centre and still allow you to score this secondary provided you have qualifying units in three/four different quarters?
  • Yes. The actions and positions of NQ units are efectively disregarded.

As above, within 12" of your opponent's DZ is 12" from any part of that DZ, so usually from the table centre to their DZ ("Player B territory"). If the unit is entirely in the opposing DZ, you get 4 points.

Yes you would. You just need at least one unit in the table quarter that isn't within 6" of the middle. It doesn't say that no qualifying units cannot be within 6" of the center. It says that to score, you must have at least one qualifying unit in 3 table quarters that aren't within 6" of the middle.
