I thinned it, but  remember I also accidentally put 4 coats of the wrong paint on before this.

It does look better in person but it is still a very subtle effect. 
 

I may just use the midwinter minis recipe if I can ever get over my own laziness.

What do you plan to do different?

My plan last time wasn’t bad, just had some horrible offensive roles, and below average defensive roles.

 

Aggressors w/ captain, and biologis and 3 VGVs only killed like 1 of his fancy terminators…don’t really know how to over come that kind of bad luck.

Won 53-52

used fixed secondaries behind enemy lines and the other one that’s similar.

 

used my eliminators to charge the Brutalis hoping to just tie it up and also block the land raider’s path, but they didn’t survive the fight back at all.

 

2nd game with my SG and failed their charge…failed pretty much every charge except the 2” eliminator charge where i rolled a 12 -_-

 

eventually utterly mobbed the Brutalis with a handful of tactical marines and libarian, aggressors/captain/biologis, and a boxnaught.

then proceeded to destroy the assault terminators behind that.

however the combined shooting of a redemptor, land raider, and 4 infernus marines, followed by charges from the fancy DA terminators, and another unit of assault terminators wiped everything I had on the central objective in T4

 

HIs repelled an attack from his VGVs, and my scouts popped in and out getting me table quarters.

Opponent was playing firestorm, conceded end of T4

T1&2 were very close.

T3&4 I made some sacrifices on my combat squaded tacs to deny him a primary.

 

storm Raven w/ hurricane bolters and assault cannons did about as much damage to his LR in T1 as my thunderstrike did. Knocked it down to 4 wounds.

he had a redemptor and 3 boxnaughts, killed them all.

he briefly took my home objective in T2, but the flappy chappy and JAIs, saved my warlord and killed the terminators that were on it.

 

edit

i won 34 to 25 on T4, in T5 I would have gotten 10 more primary and 6 more secondaries.

he was doing random secondaries and would have only gotten 5 primaries.

Aggressors wounding boxnaughts on 2s  with full rerolls was wild.

 

i don’t have a lot of dedicated AT in my collection, so the oath buff really helped.

 

i can’t believe I managed to wipe an LRR, a redemptor, and 3 boxnaughts. Without OoM I don’t think I could have managed that.

 

secondaries were behind enemy lines and engage in all fronts(?)

be in enemy DZ, and 3+ table quarters.

Instead of gold, the chapter covers their armor in opal to show rank and achievement.

the base white of the opal represents the nobility of sanguinius’ soul, the bright reds, oranges, and yellows that shine and sparkle represent the fire of his spirit.

Oof.

angelic inheritors wasn’t the right detachment for this game unfortunately, but it was close for the first 3 turns.

 

it began to snowball for him when he was able to kill my characters.

 

looking at the possessed datasheet on games-workshop I think he had too many…I’ll go back and do my best to count them in my pictures.


turn 1 damage rolls were horrible.

las fusil 1.

las talon 1.

 

T1 I killed a bunch mutant things, but lost my eliminators and scouts.

T2 I killed his demon prince and hellbrute, some legionnaires.

killed a few possessed, but lost both dreads, and cypher’s ability took a toll on my JAIs. Chaplain fell to cypher in combat. Possessed killed my speeder.

T4 I finished off his predators iirc, and destroyed his obliterators.

 

 

killed some of his terminators.

 

jump captain and SG survived like 3 turns of combat against bile, and like 10 legionnaires, and 5 dudes that I forget the name of but just seemed like veteran legionaries.
