Cancelled an order for orks because they’re out of stock, so what should I get for my angels with $102?

 

im still pretty low on dedicated AT, but I’m thinking some new terminators. Not sure what else

 

might go with just buying a redeemer as an alternative to my stormraven.

Came in late yesterday, and is good enough for sharing.

Playing sallies saturday.

taking out the redeemer for the first time, so I’ll be playing firestorm considering the number of special pistols ill be using, and it will help my eliminators do fill the AT role a bit better.

I always try to make a Firestorm list then end up scrapping it. No idea what to do with it.

In terms of firestorm, its very situational, does the extra pip of strength matter often enough to take it? sure boltguns and S4 weapons get better, but if your running redeemers and pyre blasters etc your already wounding T4 on 3s and the extra pip wont improve that.

I think its too situational and other detachments are just better, LAG for example.

I often found myself wishing I had taken IA  or LAG lol.

 

maybe one or two small gaps wouldn’t be present if I had taken more time, but as far as painting I’m not too picky, as long as it looks pretty good from tabletop distances that’s good enough for me.

Well I buy models I think are cool and have a rule that I can’t put a model on the table if it hasn’t reached a minimum level of completion. Really helps motivate.

That's part of my problem with SM right now is that they are very Hero Hammer and if you don't have the right combos or the right beat sticks, you're basically SOL with competing on the "Kill enemies" line of winning, so instead you lean on the "Don't die and complete objectives" line of winning which is extremely tough on a faction that's mostly T4.

I lean on the ‘be places’  secondaries lol.

I think I’ll switch back to AI next weekend and give it one more go.

 

i think I’m going to take the reroll charges and advances, since SG failing a charge can often leave them very exposed.

I don’t think that anyone is generally running JPDC atm

JPDC like in jump pack death company? Regarding to goonhammer a LAG list including JPDC made it up to 7th in a 36 player GT. So I guess they can't be that abysmal.

They're definitely a bit expensive but the lemartes brick has legitimate legs.

 

They aren't as ubiquitous as they were when they were all PF/IP, but BA lists rocking those from the end of that portion of the index were pretty bonkers.

Or that player is really good, or he got some really lucky roles.

7th out of 36 isn’t great, not horrible either, and it happening 1 time could just be an outlier.

 

but if it’s just one minimum sized unit, it likely didn’t make that much of a difference if everything else in the list was super meta.

The wings seem to be very delicately attached at the moment. Hopefully I can get some more connection points to add glue to when it’s time to add the backpack.

I like the paint job, don't care for the wings. Old school jump pack looks real good on him tho if you have one kicking around, especially if it's his FB one!
