If I battleshock my aggressors w/ biologis to use savage echoes and kill the enemy unit my apothecary then gets OC9  by the start my next command phase correct?

Once the next command phase starts, you'll have OC again, and as long as they're above half health, you don't need to test again.  As long as he fulfills the requirement (Destroying a full enemy unit in melee), his base characteristic is modified to 9.

DG are pretty tanky I’ll be playing them Saturday anyone have any advice?

They're probably gonna hit you with the -1 save I would imagine as there isn't an insane amount of invulns in SM right now.  They're gonna love to play your game of "Get in close" as that activates their faction rule.  You're going to want to watch out for screens, as that will mess your plan up.

Without knowing their list, be careful not to overdedicate to Mortarion; he's not that good.  Indirect makes them either take less PBC or make them push forward with them, so punish them as they are tanky but not THAT tanky.  Their demon engines have invulns, so keep that in mind when dedicating shooting.

Their melee squads can be as nasty as BA, but they have less access to them.  But they want you close cuz that gives them benefits.  They changed how infected objectives work, so keep that in mind for his strategem usage; he doesn't have to own it to get some stratagem bonuses, only has to have owned it at some point.

So basically soften his melee units with some solid shooting before charging and try to overwhelm the rest of the units with melee.

glad I’ve focused on building a relatively balanced list now.

no DC, so I’m sticking my jump chappy with my JAIs to hopefully take a significant number of wounds off of a target before making an actual attack.

Would that be best used against the crawler, their terminators, or Morty (assuming he takes him)?

Yeah the DG have mostly meh shooting, try to take his demon engines offline ASAP and the big tanks if possible early. They'll mess up your infantry and the engines are just good against most SM things.

I’m an absolute moron.

didnt put any coats of mother lode, did 4 coats of cloud 9 -_-

put me out of my misery

edit

one coat of mother lode applied lol.

ill do one more tonight, and one more tomorrow morning before the game.

Also annoyed about the number of kits where you have to glue the shins and what not to the legs. That makes sense.

Any time you can glue a shin to a leg, it’s an opportunity for swapping bits between models. Or 3d printing replacement shins. It’s something I’d have liked to be standard on tacticus style models

I have never heard of that stuff before. It sounds like a really cool effect, but unfortunately on the pics it appeard to be glossy white. It looks like the inner of a clam in reality?

The could 9 only works over black or other dark colors.

mother lode gives an opalescent effect over white. I did a review with a test model in the general PCA thread and I’ll post an updated pic this morning.

Aggressor bomb of 3 w/ captain, and biologis managed to only drop 7 out of 20+ saves.

but in the end his death shrouds still managed to mostly survive the charge from the remaining gravis bois, and the last 2 VGVs losing only 1 dude in that combat.

chaplain only managed 1 MW out of 3 rolls, the JAIs managed 0

my rolls were just awful, and his seemed about average over all.

I do so much better with my guard, idk why I can’t seem to just get marines figured out.

on the bright side my eliminators managed to nearly kill one of his floaty things with the spikey mine roller thing on it.
