Inquisitor_Lensoven
Stole this from a post in Amicus Aedes, since a lot of it seemed most relevant to us. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/374814-repost-2023-will-be-a-good-year-for-us/ Share on other sites
Blindhamster
as mentioned in other threads, not totally sure I want to be the book first done in 10th, usually ends up being a bad thing, even being in the first 3-4 is usually not great. Not sure i believe the rumour as even true, but there does seem to be enough slivers of possible truth to make it at least a bit plausible. Time will tell I guess! It’s not great, but marines will always be the first it seems. and the new quarterly updates they’re doing now makes that less of an issue to me. I can’t wait to take that sanguinor and add one of my tridents to him though. Karhedron
The BA portion looks like someone copied one of my wishlist posts from last year. That is a lot of cool new minis that I would love to have, my only concern is that it almost seem like too many to be true. Ah well, I shall keep my metaphoricals crossed. Helias_Tancred 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/374814-repost-2023-will-be-a-good-year-for-us/#findComment-5841545 Share on other sites

Amen Brother Blindhamster! ... being the first marine book out of the new edition gate -never- worked out for us, at. all! Â Please GW do not do this to us for a third time! Â I remain optimistic on the rest, while its a list that sounds almost too good to be true, I had an idea that what they did with the Black Templars in terms of unique models and upgrade sprues is a format they'd repeat to varying degrees with the other more unique marine chapters; BA, DA, GK, SW, etc. Â Â Edited July 4, 2022 by Helias Tancred Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/374814-repost-2023-will-be-a-good-year-for-us/#findComment-5841557 Share on other sites
Majkhel
Also mentioned by someone already, but an Edition Release box with very faction-specific units (DC, SP) is really unlikely. Those are meant to contain general-issue units that can be used by everybody. Sure, DC can be simply jump assault unit and SP an Apothecary painted red, but still those units have very specific special rules and I somehow cannot see them (especially the Priest) without some proper BA bits (chalice being a bare minimum). So either not BA-Tyranids, or no DC and SP Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/374814-repost-2023-will-be-a-good-year-for-us/#findComment-5845113 Share on other sites
Tokugawa
Or something like space marine heroes: promotion pic is BA, box art is BA, but the actual models are universal. Sounds plausible. We got 2 versions of Assault Intercessors and Bladeguard at the start of 9th, monopose in the starter box and multipart later. It only takes an upgrade sprue to turn an Assault Squad into Death Company. Obviously things like Sanguinary Guard are more specialised but Black Templars have shown GW are ready to start producing Chapter-specific Primaris squads, not just Characters. I would just expect these to be in an army box rather than the 10th edition starter set.
