Assuming he doesn't get 30k rules and purely for friendly games because it's cool, thematic and cool again, me and mine will be using DPAngron rather than 30kAngron when he gets released.

Would you do anything different, or just run him as the rules for 30k Angron?
He's far larger than pre-daemon, and he can fly, so we thought about giving him a jump pack that ignores the rules for dangerous terrain, at the expense of being more easily targeted because of his size and not allowed in a transport, but otherwise keeping the standard rules from Liber Hereticus.

But I still haven't played a game yet, so I don't really appreciate how (un)important things like jump packs, transports and ignoring dangerous terrain are!

As @Sparika mentioned, you might want to refer to Horus' huge increase in points for bonus rules on a unit that's already borderline.

Angron's rules were never meant to have more movement and charge speed added to it. He's already the most lethal primarch, and being able to sling him up the board while ignoring difficult, impassable and dangerous, and cranking out a +4 to his charge in berserker assault is....questionable. The other primarchs with big movement have their weak spots: Russ has to path around stuff, gets slowed by difficult, and isn't the best against vehicles; Corax sucks against vehicles; Sanguinius isn't the best against MCs and has to choose that or excel against vehicles; Mortarion sucks against vehicles; Curze sucks against vehicles; khan sucks against MCs. Angron doesnt suck against any unit, and he just ramps up as the game goes on.

You gotta be careful.
