MasterDeath
What is the current ruling on units with mixed toughness without a clarification like Tau drones? I looked into FAQs and the Rare Rules section as well as the unit entry but cant find an answer how the mixed toughness in the Dark Apostle unit is handled. I assume its majority, so the Dark Apostle would have T3 until a Disciple is removed. Seems like an oversight, as Fabius Bile Assisstant has an increased Toughness to match. Emperor Ming
Since all attacks are done one at a time, mixed T doesn't matter anymore Now since you mostly use mass dice rolling, a unit with mixed T will require you to roll each attack separately as per the rules Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/374981-mixed-toughness-in-a-unit-dark-apostle/#findComment-5846024 Share on other sites
Metzombie
That is not how it works. You only allocat an attack to a specific model after the wound roll. Edit: For Deathwatch, atleast according to battlescribe, you look at the majority toughness for the unit. MasterDeath
Ah, found it: "If this unit contains models with different Toughness characteristics, each time an attack is made against this unit, use the Toughness characteristic of the majority of the models in this unit when determining what roll is required for that attack to successfully wound. If two or more Toughness characteristics are tied for majority, the controlling player selects one of the tied values to be the majority value." So it would be T3 initially and then T4 after the first loss. Thanks guys. Thats not a general rule, but the above mentioned rule for deathwatch killteams. Probably the best we have for now.
