oldhat
Fury of the Ancients says the Venerable Contemptor must be the warlord. But if you bring a Primarch, it also stipulates that they must be the Warlord. Which one would take precedence? MichaelCarmine
Primarch always takes precedence. Only exception - the Emperor of Mankind (when he gets his rules someday) is in the army roster! No page/rules reference needed! Over and out! OnyxUltraKnight
Agreed, RAI to me seems like Primarchs always take precedent as the compulsory warlord, even with the conflicting wording with the RoW Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/374987-mandatory-wl-interaction/#findComment-5846026 Share on other sites
SkimaskMohawk
Page 14 of the liber: Quote In some cases, a model will have a special rule that dictates that the model in question must be selected as the Warlord, such as a Primarch. When this is the case, that model is always the Warlord regardless of any other factors. An army may not include more than one model that must be selected as the Warlord, unless another special rule contains an exception to this rule. Slips
Exactly as Skimask posted. Including a Primarch can lock out out of RoW/Character selections because of this. This is one of those cases. I have that with a PDF of the actual rules, so no double checking needed.
