Ships used by marines during HH

What class of ships were commonly used during the heresy?  I'm really only familiar with Gloriana class ships which would be unreasonable for any force I create.

How many marines generally fit on those types of ships?  I want to have an idea of the sort of flotilla my forces would be riding in.

Strike Cruisers were fairly commonplace. Generally speaking there is enough space for a little over a company including all their support staff. 

Battle barges were around too. They're just a little bit smaller than a battleship and equipped more for planetary assault rather than void warfare.

But in short SM used every class available. Imperial Navy etc. werent divided yet.

Well a while ago the great Captain Semper started a project which noted down all named ships for the Heresy and what class they were: Fleets of the Heresy it has a great breakdown of classes and types as well before getting into the named ships.

Marshal Rohr also had a brief guide to what types each Legion had or prefered to use, so using both together you should be good.
