Long time lurker looking for dark mechanicum advice

Ive ammassed a little dark mechanicum army with a knight backup.

Ive got in my roster:

-knight abominant

-defiler

-venomcrawler

-disco lord

-budget terrax drill

-dark commune

-character that could be sorcerer/lord /appstle

-terminators (diver themed)

-havocks (iw themed)

-noise marines (ec themed)

-6 torments/spawn

-whole bunch of cultist some melee some guns

Questions are:

-what legion is going to be best to represent this mangy bunch?

-what to build next?

-if the discolord is my warlord, what loadout would you go for?

First up: You may have problems filling your troop slots, as Cultists are limited by your core marines. That would be Terminators, Noise Marines and Havocs in your list. If you take the latter, to take the former you may have not enough points to get all those other toys into the list. So some Legionaires may be a suitable investment.

 

Some guesses:

- If you want to play the Mechanicum side, Iron Warriors seems to be the way with their vehicle and daemon engine focus.

- If you go for the freaky experiments theme, its Creations of Bile.

The loadout of the Disco Lord will depend on your legion of choice. IW can make those very tanky, while the CoB are more killy. Probably some relics and/or Warlord traits to make them survivable.

Yes, the 'mere mortals rule' really bugs me.  With my lists I have been looking at patrols to keep troops down.

Might make some world eater styled legionairres as I dont have a whole lot of melee.

Haha, no just resin teeth.  You can get them cheap off ebay!

The knights shoulder is a real bone, no idea what from though
