I have been hearing bad news with the new drop pod rules.  I haven't read them as well as I would like (haven't made a fast insertion with a drop pod or Dreadclaw in 5+ years)

Me personally I would try to find a rapid firing Moritat to tag along with that destroyer squad just to ruin someone's day because they aren't expecting it

I really have had a hard time getting my mind around the terrible organization of the 'Nuj Testament and haven't played a test game, yet. I guess I didn't even go looking to see how Drop Pod Assault works. I am okay with the Kimmel BBQ not being quite as spicey as it once was on the Dreadclaws, but simply have the models built and painted in my collection and was mostly just seeing what coherent lists I could make with my collection. Reading here, it sounds like I need more Dreadnoughts in the mix.

That Moritat does seem like thing to do, especially those those new Disintegrator Pistols. A Moritat is one of those models I've always meant to kitbash/convert (I have some old metal Necromunda stub revolvers I'd meant to make Kaedes Nex with), and I suppose I have a couple of the FW designed ones laying around in a wall bin in my Storage Room of Shame (pile? hah!).

double check the rules for the Moritat...and see how many shots they put out a turn...per weapon...if possible they can put out a good number of disintegrator shots a turn

Moritat could not take desintregator pistols, so does not work.

when Plasma is ok for, it could be fun. but i think the blood angels with double melter or the iron hands with double grav pistol are the only ones which are really good.

edit. serpentas also good. Max 24 shoots with deflagrate an s5 is also great.
