jaxom
I found your table a bit hard to follow, is the following correct? Quote HQ Calas Typhon (1) Tartaros Terminator Centurion (1) - Siege Breaker - Toxin Bombs Troops Tactical Squad (10) - Nuncio-Vox - Toxin Bombs - Sergeant: Power Scythe, Artificer Armour - Dedicated Transport: Rhino, pintle-mounted Multi-melta Assault Squad (15) - 3x Hand Flamers - Sergeant: Power Scythe, Artificer Armour Grave Wardens (10) - 9x Chainfists - Chem-Master: Power Scythe Elites Deathshroud Terminators (2) - 2x Meltabombs Deathshroud Terminators (2) - 2x Meltabombs Veteran Squad (5) - 4x Charnable Glaives - Toxin Bombs - Sergeant: Power Scythe, Toxin Bombs - Dedicated Transport: Drop Pod Veteran Squad (5) - 4x Charnable Glaives - Toxin Bombs - Sergeant: Power Scythe, Toxin Bombs - Dedicated Transport: Drop Pod Heavy Support Deathstorm Drop Pod (1) Legion Phobos Land Raider Squadron (1) - Hull (Front) Mounted Twin-linked Lascannon Heavy Support Squad (10) - 10x Plasma Cannons - Augury Scanner - Artificer Armour - Toxin Bombs Lords of War Legion Typhon Squadron (1) -Two sponson mounted lascannons - Searchlight I'm not sure what sort of advice you are looking for, if any? EDIT: I noticed your other posts use the same table format. It may be worth editing them to make relevant information a bit more easier to see. For example, without an encyclopedic knowledge of the Liber, some of the squad sizes are ambiguous (they're listed sometimes, but not always). spafe
Is the toxin bombs a standard bit of kit on the devastors? if not... you could probably drop them as a plasma cannon unit doesnt really want to be in grenade range. jaxom
It's a ten point upgrade. Usually with Creeping Death the idea is to force as many Dangerous Terrain tests as possible and Toxin Bombs effectively adds another when the unit gets charged. I agree that if the Heavy Support Squad is being charged then a Tactical Squad screen hasn't been doing its job. List feedback welcome, formatting feedback not as much lol. If I didn't list additional members, it is the base size (the additional members are multiplied by the per model cost in my sheets before I edit them down to be Bolter and Chainsword legal). Most of the columns on the sheet are just for crunching point costs (which I've studiously removed, given the ancient games-workshop.com era points listing bans still in effect here, for old time's sake or whatever). jaxom
I think folding the four Death Shroud into a single unit, and transporting them in the Phobos, would make a lot of sense. The force seems like most of it leans towards the offensive advance, with the Tactical Squad in Rhino, Assault Squad, Drop Pod melee-equipped Veterans, Death Shroud, and relatively short-range Grave Warden shooting. The problem, as I see it, is that you then need a way to project more difficult/dangerous terrain outside your deployment zone to get Creeping Death benefits (unless you already tend to play on Area Terrain heavy boards); i.e. have some units that benefit from the Siege Master unlocking phosphex artillery rounds. Or was the idea to advance to the edge of your deployment zone, provoke a charge, and then counter-attack? If that's the case, you may have trouble with a truly shooting-heavy army. If it weren't for the Drop Pods, I'd recommend going with the The Reaping; I think the list, as it currently is, would benefit more from rad-grenades than toxin bombs. I could certainly dragoon some Quad Mortars from another Legion collection and paint more crew in DG bare ceramite. Likewise, maybe adding a Techmarine to the Veterans and Assaults (now that they can take Jump Packs) for the Graviton Pulse speedbump? I suppose that would fit into the "best use of Creeping Death" you describe. The Drop Pods I guess could go, but I am a bit loathe to abandon them. I really built the list/collection as an homage to Terminus Est, thus an orbital assault. No real way to Deep Strike the multiple squads Terminators now (I guess I could run two Warmongers?), and no 'claws in Death Guard colors really changes that this edition (I guess I could add the couple of Big Ks I have on hand, but then, I wouldn't have space for the Typhon Siege I already have painted and have almost never used. I wouldn't be surprised if there's eventually a campaign book with a Death Guard RoW which reflects the Terminus Est.
