- Fulgrim and his Phoenix guard take one flank

- Herald + Tartaros, and Lucius + Kakophoni take the other flank. Lucius will spend a turn or two with the kakophoni, targeting enemy units with ICs to give them preferred enemy, before hopping into the Tartaros termies for combat

- Kratos and Sunkillers hang way back and blast everything

- Tacticals hold homefield objectives

- Dreadnoughts troubleshoot

  • Footslogging a large blob of Phoenix Terminators is unlikely to end well unless you're playing in a very soft environment. Their resilience isn't great & their damage output is woeful. You're going to be relying on Fulgrim killing things for them (if they make it there in good enough shape to do anything to begin with), and there are better sources of ablative wounds.
  • Not a fan of the mixed loadout on the unit of Tartaros - jack of all trades, master of none. And as above, footslogging Tartaros is a risky proposition.
  • No artificer armour on any sergeants (e.g. Tacticals, Kakophoni, Sunkillers) is an omission - pretty much always worth it for the situational boost in tankiness.
  • Lucius sitting with Kakophoni is a terrible idea. They gain little and your opponent gains an easy target.
  • Contemptors should have grav (reduce WS on enemy dreads to ensure a one-sided combat in your favour) or melta (threaten vehicles & ID terminators) in their fists.

Probably worth tweaking the list to use the Maru Skara ROW if you want footslogging Tartaros. You gain the added threat of outflank and whatever is left on the board will be moving a bit faster.

Thanks Marshal Loss, lots to think about there, appreciate the feedback.
