Can't delete quote box on mobile

When I quote a post on mobile, I get the quote box, however this then cannot be deleted - on desktop I can click the top right corner then press delete, however top right click the backspace on mobile doesn't work - you get the below weird code appearing.

I was able to delete quoted text on my mobile device with the delete/backspace key using both themes. I did this using the test.account account (in the Frater Domus group) while using the keypad. Sorry for the huge image, but it's the only one I could find quickly and which would show up correctly on both skins.

I couldn't do it today either. Or a Spoiler box. I'm using Edge on Android.

I just deleted a quote while using Firefox on my Samsung phone.

And now I have deleted a quote using Edge.

This is the quote box as normal.

If I click after the next quote box, and hit backspace, the box empties, but doesn't disappear

Tapping and holding the X treats the whole box as an image.

That might be the issue - I've had problems deleting images - if you add them to a post, they become attachments. Deleting them via backspace in the text deletes the image, but it remains as an attachment and gets appended to the post again - you have to delete the attachment itself. Unsure how to do that with a quote.
