I have been debating on how to build mine. On one hand, lascannons are very powerful, but they are expensive for the turret option.

The grav gun and volkite look cool, and I will probably build some, but they are a bit niche and pricey for an easy to kill tank.

I have been leaning heavily towards Autocannon turret and Lascannon sponsons for a tank that's cheap, but also hits most things decently hard.

How are you all planning to kit out your first few Predators?

With glue and clippers!

I've just built an old FW pred with lascannons and lascannons, because I want my world eaters to have something that can take out armour, and that seemed the best load out to take.

The 3 new plastic ones I've earmarked for the Iron IV, will have autocannon turret and lascannon sponsons, for nostalgia and cheapness, and means they can have a pop at most targets

I already have a plasma + lascannon sponsons pred, so I'm thinking about how to expand that squadron considering the shooting limitations. Current thinking is maybe autocannon+volkite loadout? Autocannon shooting at the same things as plas+las (light vehicles/heavy infantry) and the volkite sponsons making the most of being defensive weapons.

Edit: Given the option, I'd build them all with plasma, but I'm not spending £60 on that forge world kit - once was enough!

Magnet on the turret and I figured out that the sponsons can be swapped out without magnets.

Though feeling the volkite and heavy conversion beamer mostly, volkite for getting rid of infantry and heavy conversion beamer for all targets (Ap1 5" blast at 42"+, yes please).

Shrapnel Cannons in the Sponsons mand a magnetised turret.

@No Foes Remain The sponsons are easy to swap without magnets?

Yes, leave the top peg loose but glue the bottom on in then snip it down. Gun fits in, pop the top peg in and job is done.

Only thing is that on the lascannon, heavy bolter and flamer you have to trim the part where the cable connects to the bottom disc down so the gun can move and file the other half on the bottom disc down to allow that free movement but otherwise works fine.
