Plastic Contemptor and Loadout question

Two quick question. 

1.  Does the plastic contemptor dreadnought upgrade spruce work with FW resin contemptors? 

2.  Thoughts on equipping and load out on your contemptors (or just go the magnet route)?

You need weapon sprue 1 (the lascannon one) to get the lower shoulder pivots to attach the plastic weapons to a FW dread. Weapon sprue 2 (conversion beamer one) doesn't come with these pieces.

Magnets. It's very easy, so there is no reason not to.

Yea, really annoying, but that's how it is, unless you can source a similar part.

On loadout, I like to have a fist for close up work, as my small alpha force doesn't have that much melee. If I had a second dread, I've played against a dual gravis lascannon build that was pretty nasty - it can sit at the back and drop 4x lascannon shots into anything that targets it. I'd probably go with that.

The best load out is probably fist+las/melta. The fist is just frankly obnoxious and turns your dread into a huge threat, and either gun offers a couple of shots at high strength and ap; good for vehicles, dreads and elite infantry. Melta has twinlinked (which is arguably better than sunder), but the range is shorter and you might run into some battle hardened units that the str 8 bounces off.
