Where can I find a good digital painter like the old space marine painter. And comperable replacements?

Don't hold your breath, but they are on the hit-list to return, and @sibomots is working on them as time permits. They are a priority, just not the top priority.

The smp probably works but needs retesting.

The other painters need attention.

impcat is an alternative as a mobile app, but it's not free and it can be fiddly to set up but it's pretty impressive once it works.

The app doesn't come with 40k files to start with but they can be found with a google search and some patience. You can also import different paint ranges too (The paints I am using here are Scale 75 paints)

I didn't put highlights in exactly the same places as the impcat but here's the finished result. Not that the impcat image was incomplete and I added the metallic parts later.

I am unsure why the impcat image is slightly greener and my paint was a bit more blue but that's what I ended up with.

But I invite you to TRY the painter (link above).   I watch the logs.  Be gentle.
