I'm very excited about Kill Team right now, so am ecstatic about the Knives in the Void painting challenge. This here is my WIP thread and here's my starting pic:

I'm going to use pretty much the same color scheme on these Space Elf Pirates as I did on an Autarch I painted as a one-off project:

I'm pretty satisfied with the Autarch overall, though I should probably have pushed the white a bit brighter. For the Corsairs, I think I'll warm up the white a bit.. maybe going closer to a beige. The armor color is fine, though I'll try to bump up the contrast on the highlighting. I had been thinking about trying out the new Sigvald Burgundy contrast paint on these guys (instead of the AK Wine Red that's the midtone on the Autarch) but that was when they were just a get-them-on-the-table-asap project... now with the KitV Challenge, I'm going to take more time on them so will stick with trad paints.

Like the color.

It is something one does not see too often (and different from the box art) so I am curious what you come up with for your space pirates!

That's a lovely colour, looking forward to seeing the corsairs!
