sibomots
I found this paint: https://acrylicosvallejo.com/en/product/hobby/sets/shifters-en/galaxy-dust-77092/ The Galaxy Dust paint set contains cold shades with subtle chromatic variations. Content: 6 x 17 ml./0.57 fl.oz. The Shifters 77.002 Light Violet / Green 77.008 Green Gold / Cold Blue 77.009 Turquoise / Violet 77.010 Emerald Green / Mauve 77.017 Green / Silver Blue 77.018 Dark Green / Tin Has anyone had any luck with it? Good results? I was considering it for the League of Votann. Marshal Mittens
I tried it for power weapons. It looked ok, but at the scale of a power sword, the color shift was not strong. Changed them back to normal looking power weapons. I think on large flat surfaces with a slight curve like eldar vehicles, they could be neat, but on very small areas, the effect is hard to see. Or that was my experience, at least. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/376189-vallejo-chromatic-paint/#findComment-5873975 Share on other sites
Bung
They are like those colorshift paints for cars. Different Paint manufacturers do them like Greenstuff World but i havent seen any good looking Infantry sized models with such colors. Magos Takatus
I haven't tried the Vallejo Shifters paints yet but here's a Knight painted with two Green Stuff World colourshift paints. The weapon mounts and cowling around the faceplates are a paint called "Red Goblin" and most of the rest of the armour is "Evil Forest". I was tempted to try one of "The Shifters" sets but I already have two boxes of colourshift paints that I use rarely, combined with a few TurboDork colourshift paints too. I don't know which paints give the best results. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/376189-vallejo-chromatic-paint/#findComment-5874462 Share on other sites
