Golden Daemon Winners

It looks like this year's Golden Daemon had a "small scale" category. Warhammer Community's Golden Daemon round-up article has the first, second, and third place entries (Saim-Hann Eldar Phoenix Bomber, Imperial Navy Thunderbolt diorama, and Bad Moon Ork Dakkajets). Rather unsurprisingly, they are rather beautiful.

 

I also spotted one of the finalist entries (Blood Angel Xiphon Interceptor) on Reddit (which has a nice high-resolution image available ).

I really liked the Thunderbolt one

I like that they have this division now too

Yup, I think the Thunderbolt diorama is my favourite, although the Eldar Pheonix is just a beautifully crisp paint job. To be honest, I'm surprised there weren't any Adeptus Titanicus models in final 3 (I assume they'd fall into that segment).

 

As someone who's never seen a GD entry up close, it's interesting to see the full-resolution image of the Xiphon from Reddit to get an idea of how high the standard is!
