Theres a bunch of facebook groups out there, though as a sometimes seller i found them an infuriating bunch.

Why is that? Personally, I find the groups are often full of old warhammer (late 2nd / 3rd edition onwards), rather than actual oldhammer (1st / early 2nd). Prices are usually fair on the groups though, the community is typically anti ebay

to answer the question of OP though - there are a number of companies that make oldhammer style stuff if you want the aesthetic, but not necessarily the actual miniatures, the one that springs to mind is:

I got horrifically ripped off once or twice by folks giving bad valuations without anyone interjecting, (In one case my models immediately came back up in another oldhammer group at ten times the price) and just a huge array of people ghosting or lowballing which gets really old when you are already selling things cheaply to pay rent quickly. I had a few straightforward sales too, and ive sold a huge amount of modern-ish 40k stuff on facebook with minimal problems but the oldhammer community was consistently toxic YMMV

On the upside that means most of my Rogue trader era stuff survived the really lean times at least :D

Thats a surprise to read Noserenda, I've had nothing but good experiences with the Oldhammer FB groups. Although most of my collecting has been around Epic so maybe they are a better bunch?!

Its been the only way I've been able to finish some collections actually, some of the prices on eBay are insane nowadays you've got a handful of people I think buying collections and then flipping them and selling individually.

All it takes is a bad actor and people willing to look the other way, thats why im still in a few groups to try and stop folks lowballing quite so much.

I did buy and sell a bit of epic without problems so maybe its the crowds
