Forge World Legion Transfers

Does anyone have a break down (or can point in the direction of one) for which decals go with which minis or parts of them? Like, the upper left area has two different sizes of the Legion symbol. Is a better size for certain marks of shoulder armor?

Specifically, I'm working the Death Guard sheet. Thanks in advance!

It might help you if you could compare with the Ultramarine/Word Bearer Calth sheet, where there are some labels.

You can see there that the tiny Legion symbols are for cataphractii shoulder pads, and tiny numerals or squad type symbols tend to be for power armour knee pads.

Apart from that, I think it’s just personal preference on the roughly shoulder-pad sized symbols. In my experience with other legions, mark iii shoulder prefers a slightly smaller symbol than the other marks - that trim takes up some space. The plastic scouts also used to come with smaller 40k decals - if you have any scout armour you’d need smallish symbols I expect.

The convention is legion symbol on left, tactical arrow (or whatever) on right shoulder, except MK V or VI where it’s studs on the left, legion symbol on the right. Sorry if that last part is teaching grandmother to suck eggs, but there may be other people coming to the thread later who might not know.

Although not for Death Guard, they used to have guides for some of the Legions when they were sold on the Forge World website, which BitsHammer compiled in this thread. You might compare with some of the others to see if that's helpful, it's also useful for anyone else checking this thread.

Other than that, @LameBeard had a very concise description.
