Hello, I’ve been lurking for a while here. First post for me. I’ve been a black templar player since I was a teenager, about 10 years. Only recently getting competitive. I’m looking for any feedback on this 2k list. Competitive environment. Thanks in advance.

Im not very familiar with primaris, so sorry if im off base. (I will probably learn just as much as you!)

 

Would the intercessors be better served as the guys that block deep strike in a bubble around them?

 

Would the crusaders helm be better spent on the apothecary vs the lieutenant? Im guessing it is for the eradicator squads, but is the extra 3" there super needed vs more surviving?

Infiltrators vs the small intercessors, probably, however they are 20 pts more which I have a hard time finding. As for the apothecary, grimaldus already hands out 6+ fnp, i have no problem keeping fnp on them. The lieutenant will help me keep consistent rolls from further. Unless I’m fighting votann or iron warriors. Thank you though, is a good point.

I don’t think the Lt will do much for you tbh. You’d be better served with another Chaplain or the Emperor’s Champion.

Apothecary doesn't just provide FNP.

 

His biggest trick is being upgraded to the 'big' apothecary and given a warlord trait, Selfless Healer. Then he can ress a model every turn for free AND heal a model 3 wounds AND still do the FNP bubble!

 

As for lieutenants, a dreadnought and a CP do the same work via Wisdom of the Ancients. Points well saved and 1 character less for the opponent to desire Assassinate.

Thanks guys. The apothecary is huge I do have him setup like that, but crusader helm doesn’t help him with those things. Those are good points, but I would think a 90 pt lieutenant is cheaper than a 130+ dread and a cp every turn. And cp is a struggle. But if you were to do that, what dread would you take and how would you free points for it?
