Iron warrior army but building it in a diffrent way.

Playing around with some 3D ideas what do you guys think? These are for my own personal use. I don't own a printer but the thought of getting one is itching on me.

Cheers! Mostly blender but some zbrush for sculpting (head/face) thought you can sculpt the whole thing in blender too.

I think those heads would look better on Mk II, because they remind me of OG warhammer black + white artworks.

Nice work, I'm always a little envious of people who can do this sort of thing.

I like the proportions of the legs, however the torso and shoulder pads seem a little less well-proportioned?

I think the width of the shoulders and the size and placement of the pads is making the upper part of the body look a little squashed.

My advice would be to try and reconcile the two halves of the body a bit more.

 

Heads are cool btw! the design and no-frills look is suitably Iron Warriors.

I will look into that. I was going for the iron warriors logo/emblem look on the helmets. Going to do more variants.

The torso and legs should be the right size since going of refrance. The shoulderpads needs tweaking for sure. Overall i think it all needs some overall love. I want to do some variants and diffrent embelishments when the base is done.

Update

moving along. Still have loads to do. Hand rivets and so on a lot of overall tweaking but it is starting to come along. But cant help to try some posing.

Procrastinating =) i think the propotions is way off and the head placement is way off. There is still something abort it that looks cool! What do you guys think?

The head is definitely too low. It either needs to be higher up, or have more waist added below.

 

It looks excellent above the waist, and great below, but when the two are put together it's like there's a section of abdomen missing.

They look like the 40k version of our legion symbol.

Adjusted the head i think this ok.... ish. hard to have it realistically be right for a human to be in that thing.
