Rules as written you're right; Centurion is not defined as an unique unit-sub type and therefore not available for Rewards of treachery. But, if the legion specific Centurion upgrade grant the Centurion Unique sub-type, then the Centurion has it and can be selected for Rewards of treachery.

For example, if you look at the WB diabolist upgrade, that upgrade does not grant the Centurion Unique unit sub-type (only Corrupted and Psyker is granted), and without it, it can't be chosen as reward for treachery.

So if Diabolist as an example doesn't grant Unique unit sub-type, then most likley the other legion specific Centurion upgrades wont do it either, but I guess you'd have to look at the centuiron Upgrade rule text to be sure. As I did for the Diabolist upgrade.

No they cannot, for the reasons you state - in the same way Alphas cannot steal vigil pattern shields ir assault cannons - they are Legion specific upgrades for generic units, which the AL cannot steal.

Be careful not to confuse 'Unique' unit type and a unit unique to a specific legion. The AL cannot steal Unique units such as named characters, ut can take a unit unique to another legion.
