XeonDragon Posted December 7, 2022 Share Posted December 7, 2022 So, I know Marines vary in performance a fair bit at the moment, but a common issue I see / hear a lot about, and more from marine players than other factions, is CP starvation. So with that in mind, the Damocles Command Rhino struck me as an interesting bit of kit. For 90 points, you get an addition CP on a 5+ in your command phase. It also allow the RR1 to hit/wound to apply to units within 6" even if the captain/lieutenant is somewhere else on the board. So, what do people think? Is 90 points and taking a first-point unit to go inside it worth it for the maybe 2-3 extra CP over the game? Could it allow a mini-castle to operate with re-rolls to hit and wound whilst the captain / lieutenant are off somewhere else doing their thing? For example, I could see merit in it sitting at the back with some eliminators, maybe some dreadnoughts (save CP by not using wisdom of the ancients) devastators or a big chunky squad of stalker rifle heavy intercessors or heavy hellblasters whilst melee captain / lieutenants are off doing their thing.
